This 6-Week Ski Patroller in training program is offered to new skiers and snowboarders ages 13+ who are interested in teaching or patrolling at West Mountain. Over the Course of the 6 weeks (Excluding MLK weekend and February Break) participants will learn how to be a confident patroller. This 3-hr program runs for 6 weeks (excluding MLK weekend & February break) and includes an all-day lift pass valid on the days of the program.

At the end of the Patroller in training program, those interested in being a patrol candidate will receive the following to signify their achievements:

  • Full Privilege Season Pass
  • May be eligible to move to Ski Patrol Candidate Classification and be paid or volunteer once they turn 15 years old.
  • Details on how to become an Alpine Patroller and pursue opportunities in the West Mountain Ski Patrol.

2025 Program Dates:

Saturdays 8:30am-11:30am)  1/4, 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 3/1 more dates may be added throughout the season for those interested in patrolling.

Registration for all West Mountain programs close on December 15th and Nov. 1 for the WMR Intro to Race program. Registration requests after December 15th are subject to a $15 late registration fee and are dependent on availability.

Please note: We do not issue refunds or transfers for program fees. If a medical condition occurs before January 1st, 2025, we will issue you a credit for the following season with proof of a documented medical form from a doctor.

Prices may be subject to tax

West Mountain products cannot be resold, transferred or refunded.

*Beginning in 22-23, all new program purchasers will be charged an RFID card fee. There will be an additional replacement fee if the card is lost, stolen etc. Program participants will need their RFID card to access the lift.
