Are you interested in joining our Snow Sports or Ski Patrol Team at West Mountain? This 6-Week Instructor and Ski Patroller in training program is the perfect opportunity to get started.
This 6-Week Instructor/Ski Patroller in training program is offered to new skiers and snowboarders ages 12+ who are interested in teaching or patrolling at West Mountain. Over the Course of the 6 weeks (Excluding MLK weekend and February Break) participants will learn how to be a confident instructor or patroller. This 3-hr program runs for 6 weeks (excluding MLK weekend & February break) and includes an all-day lift pass valid on the days of the program.
At the end of the Instructor in training program those interested in instructing will receive the following to signify their achievements.
- Full Privilege Season Pass
- PSIA-AASI Junior instructor card for the 2023-2024 season that will allow you to begin teaching at West Mountain.
- A certificate of completion.
- A PSIA-AASI Junior instructor Pin.
- Details on how to become a PSIA-AASI Member and pursue a professional pathway in West Mountain Snowsports.
At the end of the Patroller in training program, those interested in being a patrol candidate will receive the following to signify their achievements:
- Full Privilege Season Pass
- Move to Ski Patrol Candidate Classification and be paid or volunteer.
- Details on how to become an Alpine Patroller and pursue a professional pathway in the West Mountain Ski Patrol
2024 Program Dates:
Saturdays 8:30am-11:30am (1/6, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 3/2), more dates may be added throughout the season for those interested in patrolling.

By April 15th $400
By October 15th $420
By November 15th $440
By December 15th $480
Additional Details:
Registration closes December 15th. Registration requests after December 15th are subject to a $15 late registration fee and are dependent on availability
Please note: We do not issue refunds for program fees unless a medical condition occurs before January 1st, 2024.
If a child can't ski due to medical reasons, a letter from a doctor is required for verification.
Prices may not include tax.
West Mountain Products cannot be resold, transferred or
refunded.
*Beginning in 22-23, all new program purchasers will be charged an RFID card fee. There will be an additional replacement fee if the card is lost, stolen etc. Program participants will need their RFID card to access the lift.
